Setup & settings
Start with your app.
Choose a product to find its setup steps and the right place to make changes.
Strikeline
Open the app and browse.
These steps use the Profile tab. Older Strikeline versions call it Settings.
The default public service works without a brokerage connection or an access key.
- Install and open Strikeline.
Download the Android preview, or read research in your browser.
- Choose what to read.
Use the feed filters for market, source and record context. Follow records in the app to keep them together. Filters change your browsing view.
- Use Profile for app preferences.
Change appearance, manage notifications or open Subscriptions & restore purchases. Appearance saves immediately on this device.
Use a different data service or an optional access key
In Profile, expand Advanced connection and choose Edit data service. Enter the administrator-provided HTTPS address under Data service address and, if needed, the Optional access key, then choose Save & refresh. Changing the address clears the previous destination's key. If saving fails, correct the problem in the editor and retry.
Use a Strikeline access key here, never a broker password or TradeTape instance key. Verified store access takes priority over a manual key on the official service; store credentials are not sent to custom services.
Account Watchlist, saved records and private instruments
These lists serve different purposes. Account Watchlist stores stock codes and can filter published records. Saved records keeps individual public records on this device; updates use Profile → Record reminders & notifications. My instruments is your separate private instance research scope, with official presets and your own choices. None of these lists places orders.
The native apps include account screens, but account sign-in is not enabled on the public service yet. You can continue browsing without an account. Signing in does not grant a subscription or private instance permission.
Understand access and saved records
Research and published closed execution records are free immediately. Open execution records have the service's free delay; verified access can remove that delay. A record's context does not prove a broker fill. Unavailable sources and missing verified performance stay labeled. Saved follows and the inbox are native app features.
Read recorded quote observations
Open a research record in Strikeline and find Quote observations. The chart shows actual recorded contract quotes at their quote times, with currency and real-time or delayed labels in Recorded values. These are not candles, underlying-share prices, a continuous live chart or a performance curve. Missing prices are not filled in.
Choose All recorded, 1D, 7D or 30D to filter loaded observations; use Load earlier observations when offered. These windows are not strategy timeframes. Older observations may not be retained, and a record may have no observations. A recent service check does not make an old quote current.
Get alerts for stocks in your account Watchlist
In Profile → Watchlist stock alerts, check availability first. When account services are configured, sign in, verify your email, add a stock to your account Watchlist and enable Stock alerts for my Watchlist. This matches newly published research to the stock or its underlying on the official Strikeline service. It does not start new scans, cover every stock or replay records published before you enabled alerts or added that stock.
Open Notification list & device delivery to enable delivery on this device. Account sign-in and cloud stock alerts are not enabled on the public service yet; system push is also not configured. A record-follow notification list can still work with a supported service. When cloud alerts become available, reopen the app to renew device registration, which lasts up to seven days. Removing a stock or turning off stock alerts stops its Watchlist alerts; individual record follows have a separate device preference.
In Profile → Private instance list → My instruments, manage your private instance research list. It combines official presets you choose, your own additions and your exclusions. It is different from following a feed record and does not make the public service generate research for every selected instrument. Connect your own list.
TradeTape Autopilot
Connect once, then check your account.
You need a running private instance and your own authorized API key from its administrator.
- Open Settings → Connect instance.
Enter the administrator's HTTPS address under Instance address and your key under Instance API key. For an existing connection, choose Edit connection.
- Choose Save & connect.
The app verifies the instance before saving. A failed check keeps the previous connection and your draft available for correction.
- Choose View account & status.
In Overview, check the instance, broker and Actual broker account. Read blocking reasons and their next actions. Task stage and requested account remain separate from the actual account.
To change tasks or protection, choose Open private console in Settings, sign in with your Console account, then follow Trading setup. The browser has its own sign-in; the app's key is not placed in its address.
Open Settings → My instruments for personal research choices. A service-account instance key does not identify your personal list; use the separate personal-list connection. It does not add trading or approval permission.
What to ask your instance administrator for
- The private HTTPS root address and your authorized service-account API key.
- The expected instance identity, broker and actual account environment.
- The permissions you need; read-only access and approval permission are different.
For administrators: the server needs the tradetape.mobile.v1 overview API and a valid TLS certificate. The pairing address must not include a page path, query, fragment or embedded credentials. Browser passwords, broker passwords and Strikeline keys cannot replace an instance API key.
Fix a connection problem
- Address or certificate problem: check the HTTPS root address with your administrator.
- Access denied: ask the administrator to check your key and role.
- Wrong instance or account: compare Overview with the expected identity before proceeding.
- Unavailable: check the phone's network and instance health, then retry from the editor.
Contact support with the error message. Do not send a full API key or broker credentials.
Your private Console
Make each change in its own place.
- Start with the current status.
Open your private Console from TradeTape or the address your administrator provided. Sign in, then read the Autopilot status and its next action.
- Open Configure and choose a task.
Find research, tasks, order scope, protection and reminders. Start with Common settings. Each field explains its unit, scope and when the system reads it.
- Review your changes, then save.
Use the save action for the panel you edited. Check the result and any adjusted value. Saved configuration is read by the background service at the time shown; saving does not approve an order.
Official presets, my instruments and phone access
Sign in to your private Console and open My instruments. Enable the official presets you want, add verified securities by name or code, and review the Effective scope. Only authorized administrators publish official presets; every user manages their own additions and exclusions.
Remove personal addition removes only your own source. If a preset also includes that security, it remains in your list. Exclude from my scope removes every source from your effective list until you restore it. Official updates preserve your choices. A verified identity does not promise available market data.
For a phone, expand Connect your personal list on a phone in the Console and create your personal-list key. Enter the displayed private service address and this key in the app's separate My instruments connection. The key is shown once; replacing or revoking it disconnects older personal-list connections. Never put it in a URL or share it with another user. Your instance API key and Strikeline subscription access stay separate.
New tasks use the owner's latest saved personal selection. Existing tasks keep their prior scope until the owner explicitly selects Use my instruments for this campaign. Personal choices can support research beyond the account's entry limits, but they do not change those limits, sign trading policy or approve an order. Removing an instrument does not cancel orders or close positions. Administrators manage Account entry limits and Futu's separate Explicit derivative contracts in advanced account configuration.
Account, task stage and approval
Research, Paper trial and Live strategy describe a task. A Paper trial may submit to a simulated brokerage account if its checks allow it; selecting a stage does not switch the actual account.
Trading policy signs an allowed scope. A single-intent approval may let the worker submit that specific order after all checks pass. Neither confirms a fill. Revoking unused approval does not cancel a broker order. Pause schedule pauses that campaign; it does not close positions, cancel orders or stop other protective processes.
Advanced parameters and a failed save
Open Advanced settings when you need the extra parameters. This changes what you see, not your permissions. If a draft is out of date, compare it with the current settings before trying again. If the result is unknown, check the saved state before resubmitting.
Everyday app settings
Appearance and notifications
Open Profile in Strikeline or Settings in Autopilot. Appearance is stored on the device. The inbox works with the app's configured service; system push is not available in the current preview.
Subscriptions
Use Subscriptions & restore purchases for native store access. Use Website subscriptions for website billing. New purchases are not open in this preview; a subscription does not grant instance permission.
Local notes and review
Open Profile → Local notes & review in Strikeline or Settings → Daily use → Local notes in Autopilot. Choose New note, or Add a local note from a Strikeline record or an Autopilot Activity entry, then Add linked note. Notes are personal observations, not orders or alerts.
Notes stay on this device with no cloud sync. Products, accounts and services keep separate notes; changing identity hides the previous notes, and signing in does not move guest notes. Use Export notes to copy or share the current collection, or open a note to delete it. Do not include passwords, API keys or brokerage account details.
Local data
Use the separate local-data deletion action in Strikeline’s Profile or Autopilot’s Settings. It removes that app's local notes as well as its local settings and credentials. Export notes you want to keep first. Removing app data does not cancel subscriptions, delete cloud account records, close positions or cancel orders. A partial cleanup is reported so it can be retried.
Software preview. Derivatives involve substantial risk. Read-only and paper evaluation do not establish live-trading readiness. Not available to residents of mainland China.
